Another round of fishing in Spain
Sampling season 2023 comes to an end
Another year means another round of sampling for the Spanish partners in FreshRestore, lead by Javier. This year the team expanded sampling from three lakes to cover eight Spanish lakes in total! Along with fish, samples of macrophytes, phyto- and zooplankton, terrestrial plants and insects, and aquatic macroinvertebrates were collected to cover all the major food web compartments to help understand how these fragile ecosystems are structured and function.
